Temple Street Night Market Pictures

The market is dominated by stalls set up in a double row along the middle of the street. When the market opens in mid-afternoon the poles and canvases are erected and the stall holders start to put out their stock. When it rains they extend their canopies to shelter shoppers, but generally it is best to visit during the fine weather.

Each stall is operated by an individual proprietor and they all have their own styles of business and products. Do try several stalls even for the same things as each stall may have different options for you to choose from.  Behind the stalls there are shops lining the street and in some cases the stall is an extension of the shop behind it, but in other cases they are entirely unrelated.
